I looked everywhere for a vintage looking semi mount for my diamond, and finally found this. The previous reviewer eased the process for me by saying it was a quality setting, and let me say he is right: the ring is very well finished, hefty, and there are details that are not clear on the pics, like the background of the shoulders is satin, while the swirls on top are plished. It also looks in person a lot shinier than in the pics, which I'm not sure that I love but for sure I don't hate. My diamond is half a carat and I think it is the perfect size for the setting, as a larger stone on this very detailed ring would be just overkill.
